As of June 8, 2026, Samsung released One UI 8.5 to all the Galaxy smartphones and tablets that were confirmed to get it. One of them was the Galaxy A15, the most affordable phone eligible for it. However, the brand had rolled out the new software only to the 5G variant of the phone, and not the 4G/LTE model. That’s changing today.
Samsung has released One UI 8.5 for the 4G/LTE variant of the Galaxy A15. Currently, the company is offering it to the phone's variant that it sells in its home market, South Korea. It carries model number SM-A155N. The update is 2,590.58MB in size and firmware carries version A155NKSU9DZF1 (via Tarun Vats and Samsung Community).
Along with One UI 8.5, it brings the May 2026 security patch, which fixes 36 security issues. As usual, the company should release it to other variants of the Galaxy A15 4G/LTE and in other countries gradually over the next few days. To check its availability and get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
One UI 8.5 brings many changes and upgrades, visually and functionality-wise. Starting with the looks, you get UI elements with a transparent blur effect, bottom bars with a floating design in first-party apps, and more customisability. As for the new features, there is support for Apple AirDrop, partial screen recording, and much more.
